Play in the Water.

Lady, did you hear that noise?

No Daisy, leave me alone.

Man, you're no fun. Mom lets go outside and see. Yeah. What do you mean I can't go over there. We always walk around the grass at the fire station. Let me at least look.

Why is everybody standing around? Hey what is that truck doing? It looks like it hit the water pipes over there. Ok, ok, I know I can't go over there now.

Please Mom, can I go. They all left. Yeah! Now I can run over there to see. Wait where did all the water go? Nuts nothing to do. All that waiting for nothing.

Ok Mom, lets walk down the street instead. What a relief. Ok, I have examined the area. We are ok now. What do you mean the water is off. Good I dont have to take a bath. What do you mean it will be back on soon. Man, they didn't even leave any water for me to jump into. All that fuss.

It's cold Mom

"You know Mom, it's cold outside." Funny how Lady and Daisy think of things. "Mom, don't you feel sorry for those dogs who have to stay outside? Lady and I think we should all take care of those poor fellas who have to stay outside. Somebody needs to be sure they are warm. Yeah, I know there are a lot of people whose dogs stay outside all the time. Not us of course?"

Mom and Dad dont make us stay out side. Lady and I know some dogs like to stay outside. Personally I think they are nuts. But it is cold outside. We both hope that the humans out there will think about those pals who stay outside. Why don't ya let them in for a while? Remember we get cold too. We are glad we can stay inside.

Aha, the House is Back to Normal

Finally it is quiet and we can sleep. Lady and I played hard over New Years. Well at least I did. Lady mainly just watched. I ran around and around with two of Mom's grandkids. We ran all over the living room. Those two boys sure like to run and chase me. Mom thought it was funny when they went to bed cause I was really, really tired. It's a lot of work keeping tabs on a 5 year old and a 3 year old kids.

I am so proud of myself. I did not get nearly as scared as I did last year when all the fireworks were going off. I just barked enough to let them know that they were disturbing me. Lady barely even looked up. Even Mom and Dad noticed that we were not as scared this year. But I still did not like having to go out to do my business while all that stuff was going on.

At last we have the house back! All nice and peacefull again. No yelling, screaching little boys. But they were kind of fun. Especially when they would throw me food. I think I will take the day off and snooze on Mom's bed. All to myself. Lady is downstairs in the chair. I am going to unmake the bed and get under the covers. Yawn...nite all. What do you mean it is morning?
